Marketplace Driver (Delivery Agent) Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Delivo. These Driver Terms and Conditions govern your participation as a delivery agent on our multi-vendor marketplace platform. By registering as a driver on Delivo, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Driver Registration

To become a driver on Delivo, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Possess a valid driver's license (if using a motor vehicle)
  • Provide accurate and complete information during the registration process
  • Maintain and update your information to ensure it remains accurate and complete
  • Pass any background checks required by Delivo
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction

2. Vehicle and Equipment

As a Delivo driver, you agree to:

  • Use a vehicle (car, motorcycle, bicycle, etc.) that is in good working condition and meets all safety standards
  • Maintain proper insurance coverage for your vehicle and delivery activities
  • Provide and maintain any necessary equipment for deliveries (e.g., insulated bags, mobile devices)
  • Display any required Delivo branding or identification during deliveries

3. Delivery Services

When performing deliveries, you agree to:

  • Accept and complete delivery requests promptly and efficiently
  • Follow the designated route and delivery instructions provided through the Delivo platform
  • Handle all items with care to ensure they arrive in good condition
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with vendors and customers
  • Comply with all food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene standards
  • Verify the customer's identity and age (if required for certain products)

4. Availability and Scheduling

As an independent contractor, you have the flexibility to choose your working hours. However, you agree to:

  • Accurately set and maintain your availability status on the Delivo platform
  • Make reasonable efforts to be available during peak hours as communicated by Delivo
  • Provide advance notice if you need to cancel or modify your availability

5. Compensation and Payments

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Compensation rates for deliveries will be clearly communicated through the Delivo platform
  • Payments will be processed and disbursed according to the payment schedule agreed upon with Delivo
  • You are responsible for all expenses related to your delivery services (e.g., fuel, vehicle maintenance)
  • You are responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes on your earnings

6. Ratings and Performance

Your performance as a driver will be evaluated based on:

  • Customer ratings and feedback
  • On-time delivery rates
  • Order acceptance and completion rates
  • Compliance with Delivo policies and procedures

Consistently poor performance may result in reduced access to delivery opportunities or termination of your driver account.

7. Safety and Compliance

You agree to:

  • Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while performing deliveries
  • Not engage in distracted driving (e.g., using mobile devices while driving)
  • Report any accidents or incidents that occur during deliveries to Delivo immediately
  • Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations

8. Confidentiality and Data Protection

You agree to:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of customer and vendor information
  • Use customer data only for the purpose of completing deliveries
  • Comply with Delivo's data protection policies and all applicable privacy laws

9. Termination

Delivo reserves the right to suspend or terminate your driver account if:

  • You violate these Driver Terms and Conditions or any other Delivo policies
  • You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • You consistently receive poor customer ratings or feedback
  • You fail to maintain the required quality and safety standards

10. Liability and Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Delivo harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your delivery services or any violation of these Driver Terms and Conditions.

11. Modifications to the Terms

Delivo reserves the right to modify these Driver Terms and Conditions at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes, and your continued use of the platform after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.
